SUNNY DAY!

Today was beautiful! HIP-HIP-HOORAY for the sun! We had a lot of fun today! After church we dawdled and talked to friends for a while (you know like we used to hate it when our parents did), until the Croziers spontaneously invited us and some other friends over for lunch, John's treat. John is a good cook, so we were more than happy to accept the invitation! So, we did our part by driving to the grocery store and grabbing some stuff for the salad and for the Thai food John wanted to make for us. Then we enjoyed a very yummy meal, complete with a beautiful view of the mountains out the Crozier's living room windows. :)

After lunch, the other couple had to run, so John, Tash, Taylor, and I talked for a little bit and then decided we truly needed to spend the afternoon in the sun. So, we hopped in the car and all 4 drove down to Lake Washington. All of this sunshine and spontaneity is just what I've been needing - I know the monotonous and dull cloudy days were starting to get to me recently. Needless to say, we really loved our afternoon! Taylor did homework (I'm NOT jealous), Tash read a book, and John and I each wandered off taking pictures. John took some SUPER pictures and posted them on his blog: http://www.crozierphotography.com/wordpress

John has his own photography business, so I got to learn some tips from a true professional today. The most exciting part for me was that I actually understood what he was talking about and how to apply what he told me!

So, I didn't really get any good pictures because I was mostly messing around with learning how to meter lighting based on what John had just told me, so I don't claim the one to below to be good at all, especially considering the people and port-a-potties in the foreground, but I wanted to show off Mt. Rainier and just how clear it was today. You know it's a clear day when you can see Rainier. I noticed too, that in Seattle it's all or nothin' - either ALL clouds or no clouds. Anyway, here's Rainier:
