What we have quickly found that we love even more than having an office/guest room and an extra 250 square feet is our location! Below is a shot Taylor took during our 2 minute drive down to the parks off the shore of Lake Washington. I thought it was green in Everett, but it seems we have moved to the middle of the forest. This is just a sample of the green trees surrounding us down here.
I've noticed that for me the grass is always greener on the side I'm on (no pun intended, but I'm noticing it now) - I loved Everett more than Kirkland until we moved here and now I can't imagine anything better. Washington is a beautiful state. And to think that all anyone knows about it is that Seattle is rainy (when it turns out to not even be that rainy) - maybe it's a conspiracy to hide the truth and keep people out!

Below: Down at the "beach". We live next to a huge lake now, not ocean water anymore. Rough, I know. However, it would appear that on windier-than-Oklahoma days, our lake will look like the ocean. I could not believe the wind on Monday! Here are the boats rocking around when the wind blew waves across the lake:

The rest of these pictures are from Sunday evening. I think I'll be okay with going down to visit the parks and the lake every single day. :) We have been done there when it's dark too, and it's beautiful then as well. You can see Seattle across the lake and all its lights shining bright and reflecting off the water. I'm trying to soak in all the beauty and store it up for when we make a move back to the plains someday. I still typically think the sunsets here can't compete with Oklahoma's, but you will notice below that I stand corrected.
Taylor's the creative one when it comes to thinking of good photo ideas. The lamp below is not lit, instead he lit the lamp with the setting sun. He always comes up with the neat ideas. :)

I took a lamp shot too... this one's mine:

And, my personal favorite:

Did I mention this is a mere 2 minutes from our condo? Just wanted to check! ;)
